His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah consent to attend and officiate the launching ceremony of the Construction of three bridges at Sungai Lembing at Kampung Sungai Kawah, Kuantan. Also accompanied the Sultan was His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah. The bridges construction cost is estimated at RM36.75 million will be built to replace the existing wooden bridges this March. The bridge of the type 'Bailey' will be built in cooperation with Royal Engineer Regiment (RAJD) and private contractors who will be appointed by the government and it will be completed in October 2012.

Also present in the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Hasan Malek; Chairman of State Housing, Facilities and Transportation, Datuk Ir Mohd Soffi Abdul Razak and State Secretary, Muhammad Safian Ismail.
