The Royal Concert

Their Majesties Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Tuanku Nur Zahirah were presented with the arrival performance of Silat at the Royal Concert. Also can be seen were Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and wife, Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to attend the Konsert Diraja 2011 themed the rulers and people's togetherness at Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur. Accompanied the Yang di-Pertuan Agong were Her Royal Highness the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah. The concert was jointly organised by the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry, Istana Negara, Prime Minister's Department and Filem Negara.

The royal couple was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman to the concert. Also attending the concert were Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim and his wife Datin Seri Masnah Rais.

The two-hour concert was divided into two segments, with the first featuring visuals, music, songs and dances, and the second saw the combined performance of the RTM Orchestra and Istana Budaya National Symphony Orchestra. The traditional dances presented were the Palace Dance, a Middle Eastern dance and Orang Asli dance, besides those of various ethnic groups in this country.
